73156 and other preserved locomotives can always find use for old locomotive parts. It is always nice to be able to re-use parts wherever possible. As I am in contact with a lot of locomotive groups, we all try to help each other out.

Items even if damaged or broken (they can be repaired) can be useful, rather than they are discarded as useless.

Items such as:

Pressure gauges. Steam Heat gauges.

Vacuum gauges. Duplex gauges.

Whistle / parts. Electrification flashes.

Valves . Handles.

Water gauge cocks / protectors. AWS dials / Release valve (button).
